The student complex F-building is located at Burgemeester Oudlaan on ‘Woudestein’, the campus grounds of the Erasmus University. Some rooms in F-building have been reserved by the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) for selected students and some rooms in F-building have been reserved by the Erasmus University Rotterdam. They offer these rooms to some of their international students. We refer to these rooms as the ‘reserved accommodations’. As well as living and studying on the same grounds, there are all kinds of things to do. For example, you can play sports on the campus in the 730 m² sports centre or relax at one of the atmospheric outdoor cafes. Nearby there are a food plaza and a supermarket. It is very easy to get to the centre by bicycle or by tram.
A floor has a total of 22 rooms: eleven rooms in the left wing and eleven rooms in the right wing. You share four toilets and four showers with ten housemates.

With regard to the furnished rooms (reserved accommodations), your educational institution must have reserved a room for you. If you are going to study at the Erasmus University you can reserve a room via the website of the SSH after approval from the university.
Selected international students from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) are allocated a room directly by the institute itself. It’s not possible to apply on an individual basis for IHS rooms, since these are distributed by the Education Management Office of IHS and are in principle reserved for participants with a (NFP) scholarship.
