Final inspection
Approximately two weeks before the last day of your housing agreement you receive an e-mail from us to inform you about the final inspection. During the final inspection the housing officer will check both your room/apartment and the communal areas. The final inspection usually takes place during office hours.  

Departure
The accommodation must be left clean and in good condition. The room or apartment must be vacated before 10.00h. on the last day of the agreement

What to do before you leave
• Take out garbage, throw (or give) away food from your cupboard & fridge
• Clean your room and clean the apartment together with your flatmates.
• Take items out of your room/apartment which do not belong there
• Hand in the keys

Notify local authorities
Note that it is important to notify the local authorities of your departure, as they have to remove your name from the list of inhabitants. Read more. If you wish your mail to be forwarded to you after your departure, remember to notify TNT Post. A brochure about this service (“verhuisservice”) may be obtained at the local post office. We will not forward mail to your new address.
