The building
The complex of Ina Boudier-Bakkerlaan (IBB) is the largest and oldest student complex in Utrecht. It is also one of the more popular apartment buildings as it is located between the city centre and University Campus 'De Uithof'. Mrs. Ina Boudier-Bakker was an early 20th century writer from Utrecht.
About 1300 students live at IBB. The flats were built between 1963 and 1969. The complex has several small flats and a large one. The large flat contains three apartments fitted out for international exchange students. The large flat is 55 m high, has 18 floors and 288 rooms.
There are eight single rooms in each apartment and the rooms are about 14 m2. Every room has a wash basin. A Spar Supermarket is located next to the IBB building.
