The buildingThis building is part of the Tuindorp West Complex (TWC). TWC consists of several student flats and some private apartments in the Tuindorp quarter near the city centre of Utrecht. The complex contains four addresses: 'Van Lieflandlaan', 'Gisbert Bromlaan', 'Willem Schuylenburglaan' and 'Frits Coerslaan'. Mr. Vn Liefland (1809-1861) was a painter and a writer. He wrote about Utrecht in the past. Mr. Gisbert Brom (1864-1915) was a priest, historian and director of the Dutch Institute of History in Rome between 1809 and 1914. Mr. Willem Schuylenburg was the director of the central museum in Utrecht in 1930. Mr. Frits Coers (1870-1937) was an anthem propagandist.

The complex was built in the 70's. In 2001 it was renovated. Mr. Van Randen was the architect of the block. There are three high buildings of 18 floors and several low buildings (private apartments).
It is close to the Utrecht Overvecht train station. By bike, it takes about 10 minutes to get into the city centre. To the Uithof university centre, takes about 20 minutes by bike. There is also a bus connection.
